About This Charity
Lighthouse of the Big Bend enhances the lives of individuals who experience vision loss and blindness across the Florida Big Bend region. Through orientation and mobility training, assistive technology instruction, vocational rehabilitation, and daily living skills, they help clients maintain their independence and quality of life from birth through every stage of the lifespan.
Serving twelve counties from Gadsden to Lafayette, Lighthouse of the Big Bend is an AER-accredited organization providing community education, adjustment counseling, and support groups, ensuring that vision loss never means losing one's sense of self-sufficiency.
